Half Moon Creek is dispersed camping off the road once you get into National Forest just south west out of Leadville, CO. Being around 10,000ft of elevation, this is a great spot to park it and acclimate if you’re looking to hit the nearby 14ers. Mount Massive and Mount Elbert are both 15-20 minutes down the road. I’d highly recommend staying here as there is plenty of space to share. Good cell service, close to town for supplies, and close to awesome hikes. A+, 5/5 would stay again!
